This is more for the gas station than the store. I grew up in IL and moved to MI and this place has always been a great half way stop between the the two. The place is well lit which is important since often when I am coming through here it's 10pm or later at night. The bathrooms are always clean so it has become a staple for us to make our stop and refuel and take a bathroom break during the trip.
Definitely love shopping at Meijer... From their great produce to selection of items needed throughout the house. The kids love checking out the book section and also the crafts and office supplies. Love their holiday as well.
Very disappointing experience. Over the past month or more it seems like the aisles are blocked by pallets needing to be stocked during the daytime. Store has been not as clean. Then on the Saturday morning after Thanksgiving very few cashiers in place and was in line for 15 mins to just get to the cash register. Each of the few lines that were open had 4 carts in line. Where were the managers? Poorly managed
I have been shopping at Meijer Michigan City for over 10 years. It was always clean and well stocked. Someone was regularly sweeping up trash in the parking lot. But over the last 6 months or more I have noticed lots of trash flying around in the parking lot, dirty floors inside the store, and empty spaces on shelves were products should be kept stocked. If this keeps up i will be switching stores.
Love this store. I find what I need. Their fish is good, there is gluten free section. We don’t eat meat, but it looks good. Lamb is wonderful. Love the produce, great selection, fresh, organic options. Staff is friendly and helpful. I am always able to find someone who can help.
