Nice and clean. Helpful staff
We went there to get drywall and rent a truck. We asked them to clean the snow out of the back of the truck. They said okay. After loading 20 pieces of drywall with no help from any staff and checking out we were told to go to 1 desk to rent the truck. Then we were sent to another desk where we were told it would be 1 hour bc someone just took it. So we went back in 1 hour to the battery out of truck and it just sitting there. The staff at the service desk said it must be out of gas and we could wait, but they don't know. Mind you we just spent a half hour driving there, 1 hour loading the big cart full of drywall, paid for it, waited 1.5 hours and now asked to wait longer or go look for the manager. Pretty unorganized Menards. We are at the Portage, IN Menards now. There are 3 trucks for rent and the staff helped us load the drywall.
Menards in Michigan City is staffed by friendly and caring employees who really know their stuff. They always have what I need at a good price.
They ALWAYS have what I need!!! Best BIG BOX store, in my opinion.
The worst menards I've ever been to. Staff was so lazy and I had a hard time getting them to pull my building material and then when they did my order was wrong. Wasted a good hour of my time dealing with these people. I will go out of my way to not come here again.
