Honestly wouldn't even give this place one star. It needs to be shut down. Roaches everywhere, filled with bed bugs, and my family got sick from arsenic in the water. This place needs to be shut down

The place is fairly clean- crisp white sheets, well vacuumed, generally clean bathroom, and no insects in sight. It’s a little creepy if you’re arriving there late at night alone, like I did. It’s on the outskirts of town, set on the edge of the tree line by the train tracks. The man running the place has a thick foreign accent, and seems like a good worker and is polite. Despite the cleanliness, I would probably not return to this motel, unless I had someone accompany me (it just really creeped me out). The room has a very outdated TV, microwave, bed, shower, wardrobe and other furniture. The walls were those 70s dark wood panels and the comforter on the bed wasn’t exactly sanitary (however most hotels have unsanitary comforters). There was no curtain covering the bathroom window, which faced the tree line behind the motel, which made me feel very vulnerable at night, so I covered it with a towel. Being near the train tracks wasn’t bad at all- if you can stand 5 seconds of rumbling (no loud noises really) every 90 minutes or so. If you’re looking for a weekend resort, book elsewhere. If you just need a place to sleep, go for it. Also a heads up- the Google directions are incorrect as of 7/28/12. I had to drive up and down the road where the destination is a few times before I spotted the pink neon sign.

David the on site manager is so nice, and everyone there is so friendly. Never had a problem. I love it there. Nice and relaxing and not all the idiots like everywhere else here in Michigan city.

It's cheap and a quite place to sleep when you're short on money & somewhere to stay.

If you can deal with the roaches and other bugs. Hope nobody uses water while you're showering, you will either freeze or get scalded. One tripped breaker shuts down 7 or more rooms at a time. You have no control of heat so you can freeze or broil.
