We had a pretty large order but even considering that, the wait was much longer than typical. The food was hot n fresh, drinks and milkshake tasty.
It's nice there are clean bathrooms accessible to customers even though there's no indoor seating.
I've been to many Sonics in different states. This one was pretty typical. The shiny new design with an added drivethru instead of just the kiosks is nice. The slick video screens are great for ordering and making sure everything is input per your specifications.
I ordered breakfast burritos and when I saw them I thought they must be the Jr size ones, they were so dinky! Literally half the size of the typical Sonic breakfast burritos! What the heck? They sure weren't any cheaper... And if these are regular size the Jr must be about 2 bites.
I have been several times since opening! My order has never been right! Matter of fact I tried 3 times in one week. We have gone at different times and yet nothing changes. The 1/2 drinks never ring up 1/2 price. Management has not been super helpful either! I want to see this business do well, but if they don't get things right soon I'm sure they will close. My drinks have been fantastic once the got the pricing right!
The sign says they're open Christmas day which I think is awful, unless those employees volunteered. No one should be forced to work holidays instead of spending time with their families.
I love Sonic every time we come! My kids can't get enough of the corn dogs and anything new I try I love. I also love that Sonic will try to accommodate any request -even if it is not quite on the menu. Fast and friendly service. Delicious.
One positive is that they seem to have enough staff, just not trained properly.
Sorry this was not good. I hadn't tried Sonic in Michigan City yet. We usually do Carlson's hot dog stand. I ordered the lovely looking pretzel dog with cheese and bacon. ( Had hardly NO cheese) and my son's Buffalo boneless chicken was put in bag upside down on top of my dog...so now sauce was all over the bag and my no cheese dog. Just a mess and very sloppy. I won't be back. Oh and my 10 yr old order the chicken kids meal that came with 3 small nuggets. No thanks.
Been here 3 times. First time i ordered a chicken sandwich..got home to find a breakfast sandwich in my bag. 2nd time, I go to get my chicken sandwich replaced, they bring me a burger. 3rd time, we ordered the carhop special with NO cheese...well...u guessed it. It comes out with cheese!! Needles to say, I will probably NEVER be going there again. And this last time, the mgr didn't offer ANY type of apology or ANYTHING. Then had us waiting almost 20 min for correct food. I finally just asked for the money back. And went next door and ate!!
My order taker and car hop were very friendly and helpful.
