I recently bought, and had shipped to me, a 1941 Plymouth from Walter (Wally) Froneck. I bought it without seeing it in person which is completely my fault because I trusted the line of bull coming from Wally's mouth. He said things such as the following:
Wally to my Wife: "Yes the car has seat belts, don't worry"
Had a great experience. Very quick and easy process. Will do business with again.
The list goes on and on...
I am sorry for the length of this review, however if you really read this and take it to heart what I have offered, you should be well equipped to look elsewhere.
Wally in regards to the car's condition: "The car is perfect mechanically, I would drive it across country myself"
The car was supposed to come with paperwork proving mechanical work, NONE.
I had a very good experience, they were helpful in helping me select the type of car best for my family. The process was rather quick and even though , A Pontiac Montana, was at the low-end of their price range they still showed me focus and care. I have been driving the van for several months now and haven't had any real issues. I wish I could remember my salesman's name, he was young, he was a little cocky but in the end he was right and very helpful. I am more than happy with my purchase and the price, thank you Kar Mart.
Wally in response to shipping: "We will wrap the car in protective film to keep moisture, rocks, etc from getting to the car"
"If you would like partial truths, poor communication skills, questionable vehicle dependability and ultimately less that poor service all around, please by all means buy a car from Karmart of Michigan City, IN."
TRUTH: The car was uncovered, unwrapped and not protected in the least.
Good luck folks and have a better car buying experience than I did...
TRUTH: The car has rear seat belts which do nothing for the front seated humans who would get ejected from the car upon impact.
Where to start... Well to be direct and helpful to the Online Community, I will start with this statement and then elaborate:
STAY AWAY MY SISTER BOUGHT A CAR THAT WAS OVER $8,000 AND PAID FOR A $1800 WARRANTY AND SHE JUST GOT THE CAR LAST MONTH NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS COMING ON AND HER FRONT WHEEL IS KNOCKING WE TOLD THEM ABOUT THE SOUND OF THE WHEEL KNOCKING AT THE CAR LOT AND HE SAID THAT IT WAS THE TIRE AND IT NEEDED AIR . NOT THE CASE THERE ARE BROKEN SWAY BARS AND THEY TRIED MAKING HER PAY $250 EVEN THOUGH SHE PAID FOR A WARRANTY AND THE OIL SMELLS LIKE GAS IS IN IT... STAY AWAY I WARN YOU. AT FIRST I THOUGHT MY SISTER GOT A GOOD CAR AND I WAS GONNA DO SERVICE WITH THEM BUT HE'LL TO THE NAW NAW NAW !!!!I DIDN'T EVEN WANNA GIVE IT ONE STAR BUT IT WOULDN'T LET ME POST IF I DIDN'T HIT A STAR.!!! HER MOTOR WENT OUT A MONTH LATER SO NOW THEY ARE SAYING EVERYTHING HAS TO GET APPROVED TO KNOW IF SHE WILL BE COVERED FOR ANOTHER MOTOR COMPLETE BS AND SNAKES WE ARE GETTING A LAWYER YOU DON'T CHARGE SOMEONE OVER $8,000 FOR A CAR AND WE PAID $1800 FOR A WARRANTY AND THE MOTOR GOES OUT A MONTH LATER...#SNAKES
When confronted with some of these issues, Wally ducked my calls and instead had another salesperson deal with me. That salesperson was no help because he didn't work on the transaction to begin with. I still have had no response to multiple calls and messages in regards to this transaction. He is a the stereotypical slimy car salesman that most car buyers are warned to avoid.
TRUTH: The speedometer is not hooked up so you don't know when you are speeding and there are soo many oil leaks that the car now sits in a mechanic shop being fixed. Additionally, the passenger window is cracked completely through so be careful it doesn't shatter and become a health hazard.
The car supposedly had no major defects, a BROKEN passenger window arrived to my door (confirmed by someone at the dealership that it was present when the car was up for sale originally). NOT DISCLOSED.
So i was sceptical at first when i saw the opinions and i did that night before i was going there to look at the BMW. Also i called about the car and the guy was little arrogant but a the same time all he said about the car (clean, loaded etc) was true. The minute a drive up the parking lot they guy waved at me and asked if i was for the bimmer. I said yes and he said well take it for a spin its beautiful. Minute later other guy came said hi you doing and gave me the keys. No questions asked. After a quick 5 minute drive i got back and didn't even ask anything just said bring the papers. The car is stunning. I am now a happy owner of 2007 550i BMW AND ITS BEAUTIFUL. Condition like brand new just like the ad said. Thank you Greg, Wally and the team
